ClearWater Academy Parent Support Group

My name is Kim Weinreb and I am the lead parent for ClearWater Academy's Parent Support Group.  My son has been at ClearWater Academy since it opened in 2008 and we are thrilled to have him here!  I've been the parent support group leader for the last three years and have seen great growth in our school.  Having the ClearWater Academy parent support group gives the parents of the school the opportunity to discuss important ideas pertaining to the education available at the school & to network with each other.

As a parent support group, we meet together once a month to discuss upcoming events at the school, discuss fundraising options, plan Teacher Appreciation events, and plan and prepare for yearly events, such as the Autism Walk. This forum allows the parents to keep up-to-date with everything that happens at the school and to make sure they are involved. I send emails pertaining to school functions and also community events and resources.

Melissa Taylor is currently our Teacher Appreciation coordinator. We've had some great Teacher Appreciation events:  Marvelous Mondays (provided a take-home meal to each staff member), Fall Soup & Salad luncheon, Christmas meal & gift, Spring dessert bar, school photo album, end-of-year massages for staff.  The teachers & staff of ClearWater Academy are so fantastic and we want to make sure they are happy.

The parent support group of ClearWater Academy brings together families who have struggled to find the right place for their child.   Here we have to opportunity to learn from one another and to strengthen bonds of friendship.
